Administration officials obtained from the Secret Service a list of all the times Abramoff entered the White House complex, and they scrambled to determine the reason for each visit. Bush aides are also trying to identify all the photos that may exist of the two men together,” Time magazine reports.

Jeff Gannon and Now Abramoff, How is it they dont KNOW who or Why they Visited?
January 8th, 2006 at 9:49 pmI guess Judy Miller will show up in the pics as well as Kenny Lay, another Person HE claims he didnt Know.
But Wait!
Yes We Do KNOW!
The TBR Journal will be serializing the personal and confidential correspondence of George W. Bush, Governor of Texas, and Kenneth Lay, CEO of Enron.
The Journal will also be expanded to cover in depth CIA reports, DHS memos and articles about the raging economic war between the rest of the world and the Bush White House.
More McCarthyite guilt-by-association from the totalitarians of ThinkNegative. How unsurprising.
January 8th, 2006 at 9:50 pmThat’s funny.
January 8th, 2006 at 9:51 pmNo issue at all say the wing-nuts, but
here the WH is “pre-spinning” any pictures that
may exist of Abramoff and Bush (who seems to
not even know who Abramoff is according to
Scottie).
I wonder what Chimpy’s nickname for
old Jack was? “Jackie Boy” maybe?
Same old, same old.
So, the left thinks that Bush should return 94K that was given to him by innocent people (who were inspired by Abramoff to donate to Bush)?
And the left thinks that Harry Reid should keep 100K+ that was given to him by Indian tribes (who were inspired by Abramoff to donate to Reid)?
How is this not a double standard?

January 8th, 2006 at 9:54 pmI wonder what the real total that Abramoff
January 8th, 2006 at 9:57 pmcollected for Chimpy?
Abramoff said he had $120K WAY before the election.
Could be all clean money, but with a criminal
(he admitted being a crook in the plea), who knows?
Oh,
January 8th, 2006 at 9:58 pmTroll seems to have gone to the same

January 8th, 2006 at 10:08 pmYesterday the talk around town was that White House Aids are in full cooperation with the Abramhoff investigation.
Word has it that Abramhoff and Rove are very connected. Could be why Fitz is holding off on Rove’s indictments.
There’s so much more to indict for.
I give this administration six months max.

Or Have you Sold it to fear?
Does a Law in the Books Gary, when your Home at Night, alone, with Wife and Kids protect you?

Does the Law stop a Terrorist Gary?
Or a Bank Robber?

How so does Bush Save you with wiretaps?

Don’t worry about Gary R., everyone.
January 8th, 2006 at 10:44 pmHe’s the same ill-informed troll who tried to say Brownback wasn’t a lawyer in the thread about him. Why he keeps coming back with lies is beyond me.
Who actually sounds an awful lot like that cry baby, WWWWWWW-WAAAAAllace. Same M.O. He’s just pathetic.
How the WH thinks it can “take back” all dealings & photos is beyond me.
Abramoff was even connected to him in Texas, when the idiot was Gov. Emperor is buck naked, folks!

“who” the troll is really is really working on his overtime for the RNC tonight. I mean he’s everywhere.
January 8th, 2006 at 10:48 pmAbramoff’s personal assistant left to become Karl Rove’s personal assistant. Abramoff and Bush advisor Grover Norquist were partners who charged $25,000 a pop to arrange personal introductions to President Bush. Abramoff was a “Bush Pioneer” who raised more than $100,000 for the 2004 Presidential campaign.
Abramoff is not exactly a stranger to George Bush.
Then again, George doesn’t remember his best friend Ken Lay, either.

I heard that too Running Dog. Thats why word on the street is that Rove is going down in this pile too.

Read the first page of the article. According to the article Bubble boy is not friends with Delay and thinks Delay is beneath him.

January 8th, 2006 at 11:22 pmThe same Bush who claimed he was innocent, and should return as Majority Leader?
WOW!
Is there ANY depth too low for W?
“That’s Jack? I didn’t recognize him; he sure has changed. He was such a sweet kid in Texas; used to be the caddy for the team. But that’s the extent of it; he just went after my balls”, said George Bush, as he was confronted with a picture from an audience member that had infiltrated the prescreened members.
So that’s where his balls went to! Who’ll be choking on ‘em now! jk. Heck, we know that the msm/repub’s are going to start spinning, I figure I’d let loose some creativity and help ‘em out.
January 8th, 2006 at 11:25 pmTom Delay, if you’re out there, read what Bushie is saying behind your back.
Publically he supported you, as did Cheney (recent fundraiser) and now he’s saying you were “a neccessary burden!”
The mafia wannabes crack me up.
January 8th, 2006 at 11:25 pmRight now, about half of our Government’s manpower is dedicated to shredding evidence for one or another crime and the other half tracking down tiny bits they may have dropped along the way. They will never admit to guilt. They are criminal and arrogant and they have everything to lose. After all that has happened they will pile lie apon lie all over again and the news will never call them on their lies.

January 8th, 2006 at 11:37 pmIt would appear, in regards to looking for photos, the administration is searching for existing/published photos to see what type of cover story they will need to concoct to explain any appearances of “W” alongside Abramoff. The administration could not possibly gather and remove all photos which are owned by private entities. This sounds like a data gathering operation, not a gathering evidence to shred operation, at least in this instance.
True Blue, every visit to the White House is documented. Every single call is documented.
Remember, Fitz got all phone and visit logs to make his case against Libby.
The majority of what is needed is already in Fitz’s hands.
The rest, will be gathered by wire taps (eg. Cunningham) and plain ol big mouths.
I give em 6 months max. We will get our country back.
January 8th, 2006 at 11:38 pmThanks, Running Dog, M.Duchamp, and Susan,

January 9th, 2006 at 12:13 amHey kids-
Next up…dots connecting Abramoff to….are you ready? Ney -> HAVA -> Diebold/ES&S I think this is where the whole rotten mess is leading to. Stolen elections allow Dimson to think he’s a King and allows the Republicans to pass a legislative agenda that would never fly if we had transparent election systems. Some great threads over at DU are starting to map out a unified field theory of Republican corruption.

Abramoff money = election fraud
From Anonymous:
I was thrilled to see someone write about the Ney-HAVA connection. We need a journalist to pick up this story. Here is my synopsis of the events:
The real story behind Abramoff is that it is not simply about “influencepeddling.” It is in fact influence peddling to affect election outcomes.
In the equation of Abramoff Money Laundering the following holds true:
Input = Abramoff money
Output = Election fraud
Follow the story below from the first small potatoes case to the final mother-of-all-election-fraud cases in US history:
*Small potatoes: *The first players in the Abramoff drama to be sent to jail were former New Hampshire GOP Chair Chuck McGee and his boss former Bush New England Campaign Manager Jim Tobin. In 2002 the NH GOP paid $15,600 to a firm that jammed the NH Dem get-out-the-vote phone lines.
Days before the payment was made, the NH GOP accepted 3 payments of $5000 each from the following sources: 1) Abramoff client the Mississippi Choctow Tribe 2) Abramoff client the California Aqua Tigua Caliente Tribe 3) Tom Delay’s ARMPAC.
Input: Abramoff money –> Output: Election fraud
*Mother-of-all-election-fraud: *In 2002 House Administration Chair Congressman Bob Ney of Ohio was a prime sponsor of the (sic) “Help America Vote Act” (HAVA). In fact, HAVA was actually written in Bob Ney’s office. HAVA, under the guise of resolving the 2000 election fraud issues, was actually written to promote the distribution of computerized voting systems across the nation. The bill was designed to send $3.8 billion taxpayer dollars straight into the pockets of corporations like Diebold, whose voting equipment has now been unequivacolly proven to provide an open door to election rigging. Diebold, one of the prime lobbyists for HAVA, was at the time a client of Greenberg Traurig, Abramoff’s firm.
I have compiled plenty of information on this issue, which I am ready to provide in order to get this story out. I have access to eye witnesses and players who were physically present and participating in Bob Ney’s office when HAVA was written. As sexy as congressional scandal is, it pales in comparison to the real story behind the Abramoff affair: the theft of our democracy.

Can’t you read? The article clearly says it’s the WHITE HOUSE that’s scrambling. Whether that’s due to just wanting to cover their asses, or is an exhibition of consciousness of guilt is left unsaid. Think Progress merely provides a link.

January 9th, 2006 at 11:53 amAnyone cranked up Google or Yahoo to see what info (photos?) can be found? Popped in “Jack Abramoff and George Bush” at Yahoo and found these tidbits from USA Today:
In President Bush’s first 10 months, GOP fundraiser Jack Abramoff and his lobbying team logged nearly 200 contacts with the new administration as they pressed for friendly hires at federal agencies and sought to keep the Northern Mariana Islands exempt from the minimum wage and other laws, records show.
And…
The meetings between Abramoff’s lobbying team and the administration ranged from Attorney General John Ashcroft to policy advisers in Vice President Dick Cheney’s office, according to his lobbying firm billing records.

Also everyone should know that Abramoff was on Bushiva’s 2000 transition team…
Hopefully, they (Bushiva and L’il Dick) won’t be able to hide all the pictures of Bushiva and Abramoff. And hopefully Dems’ll be able to plaster them all over MSM (print and video) during ‘06 and ‘08 elections…
